Since 1962, we’ve proudly cared for the cats and dogs of Wilton Manors with the same warmth and respect we’d give our own. Our AAHA accreditation reflects our commitment to exceptional standards, but it’s our friendly, down-to-earth approach that makes every visit feel like home. Our Veterinarians

Louis S. Mogyoros, DVM

Veterinarian

From a young age, Dr. Louis Mogyoros knew he was destined to become a veterinarian. His lifelong love of animals and passion for science made veterinary medicine an easy choice. After earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University, he joined the Arbor Pet Hospital team in 1978. He has a strong interest in general medicine and surgery and continually expands his knowledge through continuing education in dentistry, allergy care, and digital imaging.

Dr. Mogyoros is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including AAHA, AVMA, FVMA, AVDS, AAFP, and BCVMA. His dedication to the field has earned him several honors, including the AAHA Excel Award, the FVMA Gold Star Award, and recognition as a past president of the BCVMA. What he enjoys most about his career is helping pets and their families and working alongside the dedicated Arbor Pet Hospital team.

Outside of work, Dr. Mogyoros enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife, their two sons, and their dog Monet.

Kelsey Heron, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Kelsey Heron decided at just 12 years old that she wanted to become a veterinarian, driven by her deep love for animals. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and is now proud to care for pets and families as part of the Arbor Pet Hospital team.

Dr. Heron enjoys collaborating with the hospital’s talented staff and doctors and finds fulfillment in helping anxious pets feel at ease through Fear Free handling techniques. She is Fear Free Certified and a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Her professional interests include surgery and dentistry, and she is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Heron and her husband share their home with a Golden Retriever/Collie mix named Tyrion, a red-footed tortoise named Isaiah, and their new kitten named Raven. When she’s not caring for patients, she loves spending time with her family and traveling.

Danielle Billhartz, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Danielle Billhartz earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University and completed her clinical studies at Purdue University. She received her bachelor’s degree in business administration and biomedical science from the University of Miami. Go Canes!

Her love for animals began in childhood, caring for pets in her community and competing nationally with her horses. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to practice veterinary medicine around the world, treating both domestic and wild animals. Today, Dr. Billhartz is proud to serve as a trusted family veterinarian for the pets of the Fort Lauderdale community.

Fumiko Miyamoto, DVM

Veterinarian

Veterinary medicine runs in Dr. Fumiko Miyamoto’s family, as her father was also a veterinarian and owned an animal hospital. Inspired by his example, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University and now brings her compassion and skill to Arbor Pet Hospital.

Dr. Miyamoto is a member of the AVMA and BCVMA and attends the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) conference every year to continue advancing her expertise. She has a special interest in emergency medicine and pet behavior, and she takes great pride in helping clients understand the “why” behind her care recommendations. Her favorite part of working at Arbor Pet Hospital is the supportive, close-knit staff.

Dr. Miyamoto became a proud U.S. citizen in July 2019. At home, she enjoys the company of her two pets: dogs Mabel and Charlie. In her free time, she loves reading (especially Of Mice and Men), quilting, relaxing, practicing yoga, and playing the piano. She’s an avid traveler who especially enjoyed visiting Alaska and Kyoto. If she ever won a million dollars, she’d open a senior pet sanctuary to give aging animals the comfort they deserve.

Our Managers

Teresa

Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM)

Teresa has been part of the veterinary industry since 2004 and now proudly serves as our Practice Manager. Her career began with a deep love for animals and science, leading her to earn an associate degree from Broward Community College and a bachelor’s degree in zoology from the University of Florida (UF). While at UF, she made a remarkable discovery of a rare intestinal parasite in manatees with the help of her parasitology professor, an experience she still considers one of her greatest academic accomplishments.

Throughout her career, Teresa has pursued continuing education in areas such as transfusion medicine, veterinary technology, and practice management. Before becoming a manager, she worked for many years as a veterinary technician, including a year assisting with avian research at UF.

At Arbor Pet Hospital, Teresa values the daily learning opportunities and enjoys seeing clients’ gratitude when their pets recover. She’s happily married to Billy, and together they have two daughters, Madison and Emily, along with a home full of pets, including dogs, cats, and a bird. When she’s not at the hospital, you’ll likely find her boating, crafting, relaxing at the beach, or spending time with family.

Our Customer Service Representatives

Sharon

Customer Service Representative

Sharon earned her degree in cosmetology from the Atlantic Technical Institute but found her true calling working with animals. She brings warmth and positivity to every client interaction and especially enjoys spending time with the hospital’s house cats. Her favorite part of her role is connecting with happy clients and sharing in their joy.

Sharon recently married her partner, Mike. Together, they share one cat whose name is Thor. In her spare time, she loves relaxing by the pool, playing softball, making jewelry, and reading on her patio, especially Harry Potter. She also enjoys creative projects and outdoor activities. Among her favorite travel experiences is visiting Red Rocks in Colorado. If she ever won a million dollars, she’d donate it toward ending world hunger and helping animals in need.

Eboni

Customer Service Representative

Eboni earned her degree in culinary arts from Johnson & Wales University but found her perfect recipe for fulfillment in veterinary care. Her favorite part of working at Arbor Pet Hospital is the laughter and camaraderie she shares with her coworkers. She thrives on the challenges of her role and brings contagious positivity to the team every day.

Outside of work, Eboni enjoys photography, great food, and relaxing during beach and boat days with her husband, Jim. Her favorite animal is a chocolate Labrador named Tucker, and her favorite travel memories include Hawaii and Lake Tahoe. She’s known for her keen eye behind the camera, and yes, she can still do a perfect cartwheel!

Buffy

Veterinary Technician

Buffy has loved animals for as long as she can remember. After “playing vet” as a child, she turned that dream into a lifelong career. She joined Arbor Pet Hospital in 1990 after attending Nova University and completing numerous continuing education courses.

Buffy enjoys the variety that comes with each day in veterinary medicine, as no two days are ever the same. She loves working alongside her teammates in a family-like atmosphere and assisting doctors in surgery. Outside of work, she enjoys beach days and spending time with her husband, daughter, son, and their dog and cat.

Heather

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Heather earned her B.A.S. in Veterinary Nursing from St. Petersburg College and her Associate of Science degree from Palm Beach State College. Her passion for animals and love of teamwork make her a valued part of our medical team.

Her favorite part of working in veterinary medicine is seeing pets recover and knowing she played a role in their healing. At home, Heather enjoys quiet time with her dog, Bear, and her cat, Sparkles. In her downtime, she likes relaxing at home and watching scary movies.

Hayley

Veterinary Technician

Hayley has cared deeply for animals since childhood and always knew she wanted to help them live healthier, happier lives. She’s currently working toward her Veterinary Technician certification and has already made a big difference by fostering more than 50 cats and dogs and finding each a loving home.

At Arbor Pet Hospital, Hayley enjoys the variety and constant learning that come with her job. She’s particularly interested in diagnostics and has completed multiple courses, including IDEXX sample collection, 4DX testing, and pathology slide review.

Hayley’s family lives in the Bahamas with seven dogs and five cats, while she shares her Florida home with two cats, one being the clinic cat she adopted named Scott. When she’s not studying or at work, Hayley enjoys church activities, Bible study, playing piano, watching crime documentaries, boating, and fishing.

Jhanne

Veterinary Technician

Since joining Arbor Pet Hospital in 2015, Jhanne has brought kindness, energy, and dedication to her role every day. A proud mother of two boys, Kawehi and Rafael, she balances her work life with family adventures, runs, and workouts.

Outside the hospital, Jhanne expresses her creativity and culture through Polynesian dance, a passion she’s pursued since she was two years old. In 2019, she fulfilled a personal dream by traveling to Colorado and Hawaii, where she fell in love with the breathtaking sunsets and mountain views.

Katie

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Katie began her academic career at Virginia Tech studying nursing but soon realized her heart was with animals. She switched paths to pursue a degree in Pre-Vet Biology and joined Arbor Pet Hospital in 2021. Katie’s curiosity and compassion shine through in her work. She loves helping pet owners understand how to keep their pets healthy and thrives in a collaborative team environment.

At home, Katie shares her life with three beloved pets: Nyla, a mixed-breed dog; Angel, a long-haired cat; and Dunkin, a short-haired cat. When she’s not at the hospital, she enjoys going to the beach, working out, and eating tacos.

Sami

Veterinary Technician

Sami has always loved animals and dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. She holds a B.S. in Exercise Science with a minor in Biology from Truman State University and earned her Cat Friendly Veterinary Advocate Certificate from the American Association of Feline Practitioners.

At Arbor Pet Hospital, Sami loves seeing adorable pets every day and working with such a kind, supportive team. Her three cats Cuda, Bel, and Pinto, keep her entertained with their unique personalities. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, visiting the beach, exploring new breweries, and watching sports.

Our Animal Care Providers

Harley

Animal Care Provider

Harley joined Arbor Pet Hospital in June 2017 and enjoys caring for a wide range of species and breeds. She’s especially skilled at helping animals stay calm during procedures and finds great fulfillment in making their experience as stress-free as possible.

At home, Harley cares for a fish and loves visiting her parents’ home to spend time with their four dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, crafting, watching The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and relaxing with a good movie. Her favorite travel experience was visiting China, but she still considers Arbor Pet Hospital one of her happiest places! If she ever won a million dollars, she’d open her own animal hospital and sanctuary.

Meghan

Animal Care Provider

Meghan holds an associate degree from Broward Community College and has always been drawn to the rewarding work of caring for animals. She loves the family dynamic of the Arbor Pet Hospital team and the hands-on nature of her job.

Meghan and her husband, Anthony, share their home with four cats— Gucci, Greta, L.B., and Gizmo — and a dog named Rambo. In her free time, she enjoys attending concerts, listening to music, and spending time with her pets. She’s proud to have planned her entire wedding with her husband and to be doing work she truly loves. If she ever came into a million dollars, she’d buy a home in North Carolina and open an animal rescue.

Audrey

Animal Care Provider

Audrey works with us seasonally while attending the University of Tennessee full-time. She’s passionate about helping animals in need and loves meeting all the pets that come through our doors. Her favorite part of her job is walking dogs and seeing their personalities shine.

At home, Audrey has a dog named Callie, a hedgehog named Dipper, and two fish named Lemon and Lime. When she’s not at work or studying, she enjoys dancing, going to the beach, and watching TV. She’s been dancing for more than 12 years and dreams of traveling to Australia someday. Her favorite book and movie is Racing in the Rain.

Em

Animal Care Provider

Em brings a deep passion for animal care and conservation to the Arbor Pet Hospital team. She’s currently pursuing a degree in Conservation Biology and Ecology through Arizona State University’s online program and values the hands-on experience she gains every day at the hospital.

Em enjoys the variety of her work and takes special satisfaction in helping anxious dogs feel more comfortable during their visits. At home, she cares for two Cattle Dog mixes, Callie and Kangaroo, and two cats, Keelo and Joey.

When she’s not working or studying, Em enjoys reading, puzzling, spending time at the beach, hitting the gym, and relaxing with her partner and friends. She’s also musically talented, playing the flute, piano, trombone, and ukulele. Her favorite travel memory is visiting the Nauyaca Waterfalls in Costa Rica, where she experienced the country’s incredible wildlife. She draws inspiration from her favorite book, The Vet at Noah’s Ark by Doug Mader, and finds joy in making a difference for every animal she helps.
