Our Managers
Teresa
Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM)
Teresa has been part of the veterinary industry since 2004 and now proudly serves as our Practice Manager. Her career began with a deep love for animals and science, leading her to earn an associate degree from Broward Community College and a bachelor’s degree in zoology from the University of Florida (UF). While at UF, she made a remarkable discovery of a rare intestinal parasite in manatees with the help of her parasitology professor, an experience she still considers one of her greatest academic accomplishments.
Throughout her career, Teresa has pursued continuing education in areas such as transfusion medicine, veterinary technology, and practice management. Before becoming a manager, she worked for many years as a veterinary technician, including a year assisting with avian research at UF.
At Arbor Pet Hospital, Teresa values the daily learning opportunities and enjoys seeing clients’ gratitude when their pets recover. She’s happily married to Billy, and together they have two daughters, Madison and Emily, along with a home full of pets, including dogs, cats, and a bird. When she’s not at the hospital, you’ll likely find her boating, crafting, relaxing at the beach, or spending time with family.
Our Veterinary Nurse Technicians
Buffy
Veterinary Technician
Buffy has loved animals for as long as she can remember. After “playing vet” as a child, she turned that dream into a lifelong career. She joined Arbor Pet Hospital in 1990 after attending Nova University and completing numerous continuing education courses.
Buffy enjoys the variety that comes with each day in veterinary medicine, as no two days are ever the same. She loves working alongside her teammates in a family-like atmosphere and assisting doctors in surgery. Outside of work, she enjoys beach days and spending time with her husband, daughter, son, and their dog and cat.
Heather
Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
Heather earned her B.A.S. in Veterinary Nursing from St. Petersburg College and her Associate of Science degree from Palm Beach State College. Her passion for animals and love of teamwork make her a valued part of our medical team.
Her favorite part of working in veterinary medicine is seeing pets recover and knowing she played a role in their healing. At home, Heather enjoys quiet time with her dog, Bear, and her cat, Sparkles. In her downtime, she likes relaxing at home and watching scary movies.
Hayley
Veterinary Technician
Hayley has cared deeply for animals since childhood and always knew she wanted to help them live healthier, happier lives. She’s currently working toward her Veterinary Technician certification and has already made a big difference by fostering more than 50 cats and dogs and finding each a loving home.
At Arbor Pet Hospital, Hayley enjoys the variety and constant learning that come with her job. She’s particularly interested in diagnostics and has completed multiple courses, including IDEXX sample collection, 4DX testing, and pathology slide review.
Hayley’s family lives in the Bahamas with seven dogs and five cats, while she shares her Florida home with two cats, one being the clinic cat she adopted named Scott. When she’s not studying or at work, Hayley enjoys church activities, Bible study, playing piano, watching crime documentaries, boating, and fishing.
Jhanne
Veterinary Technician
Since joining Arbor Pet Hospital in 2015, Jhanne has brought kindness, energy, and dedication to her role every day. A proud mother of two boys, Kawehi and Rafael, she balances her work life with family adventures, runs, and workouts.
Outside the hospital, Jhanne expresses her creativity and culture through Polynesian dance, a passion she’s pursued since she was two years old. In 2019, she fulfilled a personal dream by traveling to Colorado and Hawaii, where she fell in love with the breathtaking sunsets and mountain views.
