Teresa
Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM)
Teresa has been part of the veterinary industry since 2004 and now proudly serves as our Practice Manager. Her career began with a deep love for animals and science, leading her to earn an associate degree from Broward Community College and a bachelor’s degree in zoology from the University of Florida (UF). While at UF, she made a remarkable discovery of a rare intestinal parasite in manatees with the help of her parasitology professor, an experience she still considers one of her greatest academic accomplishments.
Throughout her career, Teresa has pursued continuing education in areas such as transfusion medicine, veterinary technology, and practice management. Before becoming a manager, she worked for many years as a veterinary technician, including a year assisting with avian research at UF.
At Arbor Pet Hospital, Teresa values the daily learning opportunities and enjoys seeing clients’ gratitude when their pets recover. She’s happily married to Billy, and together they have two daughters, Madison and Emily, along with a home full of pets, including dogs, cats, and a bird. When she’s not at the hospital, you’ll likely find her boating, crafting, relaxing at the beach, or spending time with family.
