Dr. Louis S. Mogyoros, DVM

Since childhood, Dr. Mogyoros knew that he wanted to become a veterinarian. He always had a love for animals and science, so the decision to pursue veterinary medicine as a career was an easy one to make. After earning his DVM from Michigan State University, he joined the Arbor Pet Hospital team in 1978 with a special interest in general medicine and surgery. He routinely completes dozens of hours of continuing education in dentistry, dermatology, and internal medicine.

Dr. Mogyoros is an active member of multiple organizations, including AAHA, AVMA, FVMA, AVDS, AAFP, and BCVMA. As a result of his dedication and contributions to the veterinary industry, he has received the AAHA Excel Award, Florida Veterinary Medical Association’s Gold Star Award, and was past president of the BCVMA. His favorite part of being a veterinarian is helping pets and their owners, and the camaraderie of the practice team/family. Dr. Mogyoros is married with two sons and two dogs, Maya and Monet. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing.

Dr. Carla Guzman, DVM

Dr. Guzman joined the team in August of 2012 after earning her DVM from Ross University. She completes 15-20 continuing education hours every year. Fueled by her love, passion, and desire to help animals, she enjoys every moment of being a veterinarian. She loves the reward of being able to see the difference that her care makes in the lives of pets and their owners. She also loves the diversity that every case brings, the unique experiences she has, and the pets and people she encounters. No two days at the practice are exactly alike. When she’s not caring for pets at Arbor Pet Hospital, Dr. Guzman cares for her own fur babies at home: two dogs named Agatha and Sina and a cat named Baby. She also enjoys biking, swimming, and other outdoor activities.
